آگسٽ 1947 ۾ پاڪستان ۽ ڀارت جي قيام وقت ھندوستان جي تقسيم سان گڏ پنجاب بہ تقسيم ٿي ويو.اوڀر پنجاب ڀارت ۾ ۽ اولھ پنجاب پاڪستان ۾ شامل ڪيو ويو. 1977 ۾ ھن شھر جو نالو لائلپور مٽائي فيصل آباد رکيو ويو. 1985 ۾ ھي شھر ڊويزنل صدر مقام بڻيو . ھن نئين ڊويژن ۾ ٽي ضلعا :فيصل آباد، جھنگ ۽ ٽوبہ ٽيڪ سنگھ شامل ڪيا ويا. 1980 واري ڏھاڪي ۾ ھن شھر ۾ غيرملڪي سرمائيڪاري جو تيزي سان اضافو ٿيو<ref name="Tribune-26-April">{{cite web|url=http://tribune.com.pk/story/875965/business-ties-faisalabad-encourages-turkish-investment/|title=Business ties: Faisalabad encourages Turkish investment|date=26 April 2015|work=The Express Tribune}}</ref> ھتان جا ماڻھو ملڪ کان ٻاهر وڃڻ شروع ٿيا ۽ ٻاھرين دنيا سان باھمي تعلقات بھتر ٿيڻ جي ڪري ھتي فنڊنگ ۾ اضافو ٿيو ۽ ترقي ۾ واڌ آئي.
